About
Founded in 1984 and headquartered in Exton, Pennsylvania, SEEDCOPA is a non-profit Certified Development Company with more than four decades of experience helping small businesses access government-backed financing to start, grow, and expand. The organization works closely with the Chester County Economic Development Council and operates as a coordinated dual entity — Seedcopa in Pennsylvania and SeedcoDE in Delaware (with offices in both Exton, PA and Wilmington, DE) — that together cover the entire two-state footprint. While SBA 504 lending is SEEDCOPA's core product, the CDC distinguishes itself by also packaging an unusually broad portfolio of complementary government and economic-development loan programs through a single relationship: SBA 7(a), the Pennsylvania Small Business Credit Initiative (PSBCI), the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) program, USDA Business & Industry (B&I) and Community Facilities loans, Next Generation Farmer Loans, and Building PA. This "one-stop" structure makes SEEDCOPA particularly useful for borrowers who need to layer multiple government financing programs into a single project. The organization also runs a successful revolving loan fund for direct small business lending across Pennsylvania and surrounding states.
