About
Established in 1981 and headquartered in Spokane Valley, Washington, the Northwest Business Development Association (NWBDA) is a non-profit Certified Development Company specializing in SBA 504 lending across the Pacific Northwest. The organization's mission is to support business growth and job creation by partnering with local banks and the SBA to organize, package, process, and close 504 loans — saving both borrowers and bank partners significant time and overhead. Over the most recent two-year period, NWBDA funded approximately 180 SBA 504 loans, creating or retaining more than 1,800 jobs across its three-state footprint. The CDC offers standard SBA 504 financing for land and building purchases, new construction, machinery and equipment, building improvements, and renovation/conversion projects, with particular outreach to veteran-owned businesses. NWBDA also operates an affiliated grant-making program — 9019 Grants — which awards annual grants to support economic and community development initiatives across the region, returning a portion of the CDC's operating income directly to the communities it serves.
