About
Founded in 1982 as the Fargo-Cass County Industrial Development Corporation, Dakota Business Lending (formerly Dakota Certified Development Corporation) is the oldest, largest, and most experienced SBA 504 CDC in North Dakota and the state's #1 SBA 504 lender for nine consecutive years. Headquartered in Fargo and operating with staff throughout its service area, Dakota Business Lending is a dual-certified CDC and CDFI — and was the first North Dakota-based financing entity to receive a New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) allocation from the U.S. Treasury Department's CDFI Fund. Beyond SBA 504, the organization offers SBA Intermediary Lending Program loans, SBA 7(a) Community Advantage loans, and a USDA Intermediary Relending Program — plus complementary small business support programs including the Entrepreneur District and ACTIVATE. Over its history, Dakota Business Lending has funded more than $600 million in loans with a total project impact exceeding $1.2 billion.
